Dane Lacey

Biography

Dane Lacey has served as Executive Vice President at Alliance Tax Advisors since 2010, and became a Partner in 2015. During his 25 years in property tax, he has gained experience in both real and personal property valuation and has worked on income-producing properties of all kinds, serving clients in multiple states.

Dane received his BBA degree in Finance / Real Estate from Texas Tech University in 1992 and immediately went to work as a commercial real estate appraiser for the Tarrant County Appraisal District. Here he not only became thoroughly familiar with the processes and procedures at the heart of commercial property tax assessment but also gained invaluable insight into the most effective and advantageous approaches to valuation appeal and negotiation.

This knowledge proved especially useful as he moved into property tax consulting a few years later. From 1996 to 2010, Dane worked in the National Tax Practices of two different national accounting firms and at a small boutique property tax firm based in Dallas. He has been a Registered Senior Property Tax Consultant in Texas since 1996, a long-standing member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals (TAPTP) and has held the CMI designation with the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) since 1999.

In his time away from the office, Dane loves spending as much time as possible with his wife and two children but also enjoys a good book and a hammock. Some of his family’s favorite getaways are Telluride, Seaside and Napa. Dane and his family are all active members in their church, as well.
